Two great Ski Schools in Les Arcs for you ...

We recommend 2 ski schools in Les Arcs, the ESF, the French ski school in Plan Peisey and New Generation in Vallandry, a wholly British Ski School who have an excellent reputation and were voted ‘No.1 Ski School’ by the ‘Which Guide’ and the ‘Snow Awards&#180. Lessons are booked online direct with the ski school. We strongly recommend booking in advance especially for peak periods when availability gets limited very quickly.

New Generation in Les Arcs...

New Generation ski school was founded in 1998 in Courchevel, France, and has been growing ever since. Set up by four British Ski instructors, New Generation now employs nearly 60 highly qualified coaches in eight of the top Alpine resorts (Courchevel 1650, Courchevel 1850, La Tania, Méribel, Tignes, Val d’Isère, Les Arcs and Verbier). New Generation enjoys an excellent reputation amongst the International ski community. In 2005, New Generation was voted ‘No.1 Ski School’ by the ‘Which Guide’ and the ‘Snow Awards’.

The small team of British instructors is led by John Thomas, an experienced coach and examiner in the British instructor system (BASI). Groups lessons are perfect for beginners to intermediates who will benefit from skiing with people of the same level and small groups (2-8). For those intermediates and beyond, who don’t want to be in ski school all week and are looking for a refresher, try the excellent Technical Clinics. The Clinics run for 2.5 hours on 2 afternoons and have a maximum of 6 people in them, providing a great way of picking up technical tips to work on during your holiday. If you are looking for something different then sign up to one of their PRO range programmes which cover everything from off-piste adventures to cruising the blues to video feedback assisted learning. Private lessons are available throughout the week for all levels. Children’s lessons run at peak periods, with a maximum of 8 in a group, emphasis is on a fun learning environment. All lessons are taught in English with a mainly British cliental.
